Core ability should not be reduced down to abdominal strength - they are not the same. All abdominal work is core work, but not all core work is abdominal work. People with pain in their low back or pelvis area typically have low level of function and are not able to align the basic components of core control.
In fact, the core is made up of many muscles, with five being key to stabilizing the low back and pelvis: transverse abdominis, pelvic floor, multifidus, diapragm, and posterior psoas. These muscles, when working together, form a flexible cylinder of support that allows you to walk, run, jump, and move without injuring or hurting yourself.

This class is designed to help you re-align the basic components of your core and re-train old firing patterns that no longer serve your greater health and vitality. It is great for people returning from injury or for those who want to learn more about the structural and functional requirements to proper stability and mobility.
